Linda Stewart Taylor, age 79, a lifelong resident of Lake City, Florida passed away on April 9, 2022, at Suwannee Valley Care Center. She was born in Lake City on December 19, 1942, to the late Robert Stewart and Hazel Morris Stewart. Linda graduated from Columbia County High School and spent her early years as a homemaker, taking care of her children and family. She had a successful career as a Secretary at Columbia County Road Department where she served many years. Linda enjoyed attending and worshipping at her church, Fellowship Baptist Church and was most passionate about spending time with those she loved. She met the love of her life, Marvin Taylor, in the early 1980’s and they were happily married in 1982. Linda had 40 wonderful years of marriage, was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, traveling, listening to Willie Nelson and old country music along with watching western classics. Linda will be remembered for her sweet nature, loving spirit, and always taking care of others. She was loved by so many and will be forever missed.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 40 years, Marvin Taylor; sons, Alan and Bobby Phillips, Jr.; grandson, Cameron Taylor; great grandson, Carson Phillips; sister, Holly Stewart; and brother, Robert Gerald Stewart.

Linda is survived by her children, Brian (Susan) Phillips of South Carolina, Tony (Debra) Harden of Lake City, FL, Darrel (Virginia Ann) Phillips, Debbie Phillips (Shaun) Tootle, Walter Scott Taylor, Adam (Shannon) Taylor all of Lake City, FL; daughter-in-law, Ramona Phillips of Lake City, FL; brother, James Randall (Diane) Stewart of Tallahassee, FL; grandchildren, Jamie Phillips, Holly (Caleb) Nowlin, Carter Phillips, Maeghan Taylor, Lexie Brown, Kaleb Feagle, Karsen Feagle, Branndon (Katie) Taylor, Libby (Brendan) Brownfield, Matthew (Monika) Taylor, Christie (Chris) Mullaney, Anthony Phillips, Christine Harden, Anthony Harden, Amber Harden, Chris (Rebekah) Phillips, Brad (Erica) Phillips, John Weston Powers, Audrey Powers, and Patricia (Dustin) Parrott; numerous great grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

A Graveside Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 11:00 am at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
