50th Reunion
Shortly after graduation, I married. My husband was drafted in the Army, so we spent one and one-half years in Ft. Leonardwood, MO. Our first son, Stanley, was born there in October, 1961. Our second son was born in Gainesville in October, 1963.
I have one grandaughter who is now a senior at Univ. of Fla. My oldest grandson works for Clay Electric and youngest is in his third year at Embry Riddle in Daytona. They have been a great blessing to me and well as my two sons.
I have worked several years in banking and 18 years as office manager in physician’s office in Gainesville. I worked 3 years in Riydah, Saudi Arabia. That was quite an experience – met lots of very nice people from all over the world.
Overall, God, my loving family and loyal friends are my life. I have had the chance to do some traveling, but Lake City is “Home.”
I can truthfully say that I have really enjoyed helping with the class reunions these last few years. Dear friends getting together is a rarity anymore, so that is even more enjoyable, trying to keep as many as possible together. God bless each and every one of you.
