Marguerite Annette Mixson King

Marguerite Annette Mixson King, 72, of Madison, died Monday, November 17, 2014 at UF Health Shands in Gainesville, after a brief illness. Born in Williston, Fl., she was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marguerite Mixson, of Lake City. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence Ferrell King, of Madison. Also surviving are two daughters: Jeri Ann King, of Charlotte, N.C., and Happi (Richard) Cook, of Thomasville, Ga.; and two granddaughters: Madison and Camille Cook, also of Thomasville. In addition, surviving are two sisters: Cynthia (Bob) Hawkins, of Cumming, Ga., and Mary Flo (Patrick) Hunter, of Oakwood, Fl.
Annette was a wife and mother first. She loved her family and she will be deeply missed. She also loved her flowers, cooking, playing bridge and her beloved pets.
Visitation with the family will be at Beggs Funeral Home on Friday, November 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, in Madison, at 11 a.m. The Reverend Joe Boyles, Vicar, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church will be officiating.
