Mrs. Gwendolyn “Gwen” Douglass, 70, died Sunday July 10, 2011 at the Suwannee Valley Care Center in Lake City after an extended illness.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She had lived in Miami for twenty-five years and the last forty years in Lake City.
She is preceded in death by her father Cecil Myron Miller.
She enjoyed Crochet stitching, collecting antiques, spending time with her grandchildren, and making theatrical props. Her greatest success in gardening was growing an Aloe Plant.
She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years Larry Douglass, Lake City, FL; mother Gwendolyn Miller, Lake City, FL; her two daughters Brenda Douglass, Laurie Douglass-Barr both of Lake City, FL; one brother Cecil Myron Miller, Pyatt, AK; two grandchildren Brittney Douglass, Savannah Barr, both of Lake City, FL;
Memorial services will be held Wednesday July 20, 20ll at 10:00 A.M. in the Dees-Parrish Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Louie Mabrey, and Pastor Cagney Tanner, officiating.
