Obituary
James Bennie Adams, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15th in Jacksonville surrounded by family and friends.

James, who often went by ‘Jim’ or ‘Rambo’, was a Jacksonville native who made a career in the military, where he eventually retired from the Army as a Sergeant First Class.

Jim was a kindhearted and patient man who loved the outdoors, especially target shooting, sailing, and fishing.

He was survived by his wife Linda, his children, Michael, Teresa, Allen, and Nicole, as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Adams and his former wife, Juanita.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Jim touched are invited to the Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home on Thursday, September 20 at 10:00 am to celebrate Jim’s 76 years of life.
